Field Trips

Field trip visits are $8 per student and include all permanent exhibit halls, as well as ChallENGe Lab, and Bio Lab based on availability. Required chaperones (one per 7 students) are free. Additional chaperones included on your reservation are $8 each. Any extra adults will pay full price admission as available.

Note: The Moody Family Children's Museum is unable to accommodate group booking and visitation at this time.

Spark curiosity, teamwork, and critical thinking in your students by adding Soccer: More Than a Game to your Perot Museum field trip! Available March 7th, 2026 - September 7, 2026.

Science on Stage
30 minutes | Up to 175 people (students and adults) per session | Grades K-8

These demonstrations are facilitated by our team of educators. They are designed to engage large groups through an interactive experience (details here). If you have more students in attendance than will fit in a demos, we can book you into up to four demos per day.

Each presentation is $7 per student, free for chaperones, and $7 per extra adult.

Availabilities vary by day of week:


    - Mondays and select Tuesdays: The Power of Light
    - Wednesdays: Thermal Reactions
    - Thursdays and Fridays: Suiting up for Space

Show times: 10:15, 11:15, 12:15, 1:15

A Science on Stage presentation is $400, plus $200 for any additional presentation (of the same type, up to a total of 4) to accommodate more students.

Looking for a way to spice up your next PTA meeting or your school’s STEM night? Just leave it to us! Our education team will bring the Perot Museum, and all the activity supplies, to you (details here).

Science Nights are $500 and designed for at least 200 people, plus $50 for each additional 50 people up to 500.

Films
20-45 minutes

See an educational 3D film in the Hoglund Foundation Theater (details here).

Films are $6 per student and teacher/chaperone. Capacity is currently limited to 200 and may be lower, depending on the showing.

These showings are available most days, but some may be unavailable on certain days. If your selected showing is not available on your visit day, we will work with you to find a similar showing.

Please note that bus and passenger van parking is not available on-site due to construction. Nearby parking at 1100 McKinney is available for an additional fee, and reservations can be made using the 1100 McKinney Bus Parking Reservation Link. Please view our bus drop off map here and share it with your  bus driver on the day of your visit.

Please note that our check-in team members are available to help you unload from 9:30am - 11:00am and to pick up your students from 12:30pm - 2:30pm.

Title I schools visiting the Perot Museum between August 17 and December 18, 2026 may apply for financial aid funding. If approved, a financial aid award will cover a percentage of General Admission entrance for students and required chaperones. Additional adults included on the reservation will pay the group rate, and any walk-up students or adults will pay the general admission rate if tickets are available.

Title 1 schools may apply for funding to cover outreach programs taking place between the dates of August 18, 2025, and May 22, 2026. If approved, a financial aid award will cover outreach program fees (additional travel fees are not included).


Financial aid, if approved, will cover the percentage of the cost equal to your campus' low-income percent. For example, if your campus has a 50% low-income percentage, then the cost of your students' tickets will be covered 50% by financial aid. Financial aid will only be applied to your students' General Admission or programming costs. Financial Aid does not cover films, special exhibits, or additional adult chaperones beyond the required 1:7 ratio. Financial aid for field trips will not be available during the spring 2027 semester.
