Field Trips

SPECIAL SPRING HOURS 

From March 31 - May 27, 2025, the Museum will open at 9am for school groups to offer increased learning opportunities (Monday through Friday only). 

From April 1 - September 2, 2025, we will be open on Tuesdays.

Field trip visits are $8 per student and include all exhibit halls, ChallENGe Lab and Bio Lab. Required chaperones (one per 7 students) are free. Additional chaperones included on your reservation are $8 each. Any extra adults will pay full price admission as available.

Note: The Children's Museum will be closed beginning January and reopen in the summer of 2025.


Children's museum visits are 20 minute timed entries available by reservation. Entry time is assigned based on availability.

Science on Stage
30 minutes | Up to 175 people (students and adults) per session | Grades K-8

These demonstrations are facilitated by our team of educators. They are designed to engage large groups through an interactive experience (details here). If you have more students in attendance than will fit in a demos, we can book you into up to four demos per day.

Each presentation is $7 per student, free for chaperones, and $7 per extra adult.

Availabilities vary by day of week:


    - Mondays and select Tuesdays: The Power of Light
    - Wednesdays: Thermal Reactions
    - Thursdays and Fridays: Suiting up for Space (New in October!)

Show times: 10:15, 11:00, 11:45, 12:30

A Science on Stage presentation is $400, plus $200 for any additional presentation (of the same type, up to a total of 4) to accommodate more students.

Family Science Nights
2 hours | Up to 500 people

Looking for a way to spice up your next PTA meeting or your school’s STEM night? Just leave it to us! Our education team will bring the Perot Museum, and all the activity supplies, to you (details here).

Family Science Nights are $500 and designed for at least 200 people, plus $50 for each additional 50 people up to 500.

See an educational 3D film in the Hoglund Foundation Theater (details here).

Films are $6 per student and teacher/chaperone. Capacity is currently limited to 200 and may be lower, depending on the showing.

These showings are available most days, but some may be unavailable on certain days. If your selected showing is not available on your visit day, we will work with you to find a similar showing.

Special Exhibition

We can travel outside Dallas County for an additional travel fee. You must book a minimum of two consecutive programs. Earliest start time is 10am. Special requests can be made for travel areas outside those listed.

Title 1 schools may apply for funding to visit the Museum between August 19, 2024, and February 28, 2025. If approved, a financial aid award will cover general exhibit entrance for students and required chaperones, as well as programming fees (films and travelling exhibits are not included). Additional adults included on the reservation will pay the group rate, and any walk-up students or adults will pay the general admission rate if tickets are available.

Title 1 schools may apply for funding to cover outreach programs taking place between the dates of August 19, 2024, and May 23, 2025. If approved, a financial aid award will cover outreach program fees (additional travel fees are not included).
